Makeup is my forte, I can say that out loud. I LOVE makeup, it allows me to be creative with colors and brings out the artistic side of me. Yes I am that girl who does all her girlfriends makeup for a girls night out!
I am so excited to share with you some of my latest finds that are tried and tested!
Hourglass Foundation
I have been looking for a good foundation forever. I don’t wear foundation on a daily basis, but definitely wear one for special occasions or when I basically wear a full face of makeup. I wanted something that was natural looking with medium coverage. This foundation is not new to the market, but definitely a new find for me. I love how it effortlessly blends into the skin and gives a smooth satin natural look. My skin can breathe in it! Some other pros which made this foundation a winner for me are:
- Its a stick foundation, so no messy liquid
- Its small and compact, easy for travel
- Its medium to full coverage
- Long wearing and waterproof formula
- Satin finish and comes in 26 shades. My perfect match was warm beige.
Colourpop ARRIBA – Ultra Matte Lipstick
This very affordable liquid matte lipstick was doing its rounds all over Instagram. I had to buy it. I love the brightness of the red. The best part is its only $6 !!! Yes only $6 !! If you are looking for a red matte lipstick, you should definitely get this one. A bright bold red which will enhance any look! You will see me wearing it alot 🙂
Julep Lengthening Mascara
I am not blessed with a beautiful set of eyelashes, so I definitely do wear lots of mascara. But most mascara’s are clumpy, feel heavy or basically do nothing. I hate applying too many coats as I feel it ends up looking too fake. The Julep mascara is so far the best mascara I have used. Its small bristles don’t add extra clumpy mascara to your eyelashes and I can’t believe this one has lasted me a very long time.
Jouer Skinny Dip Palette
I love to add shimmer to my makeup, through my highlighter or a bold sparkling eye makeup. This palette comes with 6 beautiful foil shimmer shadows that go well with any skin tone. I use the first two shades (Star light and Bikini) for the inner corner of my eyes, and the remaining shades are highly pigmented eyeshadows perfect for medium to tan skin tones. My favorite shades in this palette are midnight swim and magic hour. These both go well with a neutral lip (thats how I wear it). If you are looking for some shimmering pigmented eyeshadows that are easy to apply, you need to get this one! I’ve experiemented alot with shimmer shadows, from pallettes to the liquid ones. This is by far is the best! Its a little pricey for 6 shades but its worth it!
Maybelline Master Chrome by Face Studio Highlighter
Another affordable find thats tried and tested! Its a rage all over Instagram and when I went looking for it, it was sold out everywhere. Amazon always comes to my rescue in these situations. The maybelline molten gold highlighter is super smooth to apply and just $9.99. I’ve many highlighters that are way more pricey than this one, but I choose to add this to my blog because it gives the same finish like any other high end ones! If you are looking for a more subtle, natural looking highlight I say go for this one!
